A Nacogdoches girl's basketball coach is under criminal investigation. The allegation is an improper relationship between an educator and student. Superintendent Dr. Rodney Hutto confirmed that head coach Dayna Crenshaw was placed on paid administrative leave following an out of town meet last week. He said authorities were waiting for her when she returned to campus. NISD Police Chief Doug Ploch confirmed an investigation, including interviews, statements and records is underway. No arrest has been made. Hutto said the district has an obligation to "listen to what our kids have to say and have the responsibility to fully investigate what they say." Crenshaw was named coach of the year in district 12, 4-a girls basketball. Crenshaw was unavailable for comment.
