Four East Texans Make All-Star Team

by Ryan Peterson

Four area seniors who thought their high school careers were over, will get one more crack on the football field.

The Texas High School Coaches Association all star teams have been released and four East Texans will play in San Antonio July 29th.

Crockett's Willie Carter, who is headed to Tulsa, will play on the south team.  Carter will be joined on the south squad by the Class A player of the year, Alto's Tarlandus Mitchell.  Future S.F.A. kicker and punter Drew Nelson is also on the south team.  Nelson was an all state kicker at Livingston.

Nacogdoches linebacker James Ervin will be solo on the north team. Ervin turned down an offer to play at Sam Houston State.
