Funeral services for Wesley Archer Boothe, 59, of Lufkin will be held Monday, May 19, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Roy Hall and Brother Dennis Whatley officiating. Graveside services will be held at 4:30 p.m. in the Melrose Cemetery.
Mr. Boothe was born January 8, 1949 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Reba "Reet" (Short) and William "Bill" Boothe (A&M Class of 1941), and died Friday, May 16, 2008 in a local hospital.
Mr. Boothe received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Design from Texas A&M University in 1972, and was a member of the A&M Corp of Cadets and the Aggie Marching Band. He was a Fightin' Texas Aggie Class of '71. Mr. Boothe was the plant engineer for Georgia Pacific for over 15 years, and was a member of St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Boothe of Lufkin; daughter, Alissa Boothe of Pollok; son and daughter-in-law, Brian (A&M Class of 2003) and Teva Boothe of Richmond; sister, Nina Boothe of Dallas; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Huey and Dorothy Whatley of Nacogdoches; sister-in-law, Theresa Whatley-Rea of Nacogdoches; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Julie and Brother Roy Hall of Diboll; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dennis and Tina Whatley of Arkansas; nephews, Marc Hall of Wichita Falls, Scott Hall of Lufkin, Michael Rea, Jr. of Nacogdoches, Christopher Whatley of Arkansas, Jonathan Whatley of Arkansas and Andrew Hall of Diboll; nieces, Kimberlee Rea, Paige Rea, both of Nacogdoches, Kristen Whatley of Arkansas and Jessica Hall of Diboll; great-niece, Alaunah Hall of Nacogdoches; and great-nephew, Dyllan Hall of Wichita Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Reet and Bill Boothe.
Pallbearers will be Michael Rea, Jr., Brian Boothe, Scott McAdams, Dennis Whatley, Huey Whatley and David Gibson.
The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
