Mable Eloise Richardson

Mable Eloise Richardson, 104, of Lufkin, was born August 16, 1903, in Rusk County, Texas, the daughter of the late Emma Estella (Cox) and Chester A. Berry. She passed away Saturday, May 17, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mrs. Richardson was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother and great-great-great grandmother. She had been a member of Grace Baptist Church since 1939.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy Jean and Cecil Brown of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Delbert and Vernadine Richardson and Burl and Lois Richardson, all of Lufkin; daughter-in-law, Betty Grace Richardson of Lufkin; sister, Sadell Hunter of Henderson; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a number of great-great grandchildren and great-great-great grandchildren.

Mrs. Richardson was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Richardson; and two sons, Clayton Richardson and Kenneth Richardson.

Mrs. Richardson's grandsons, Charles Brown, Gerald Brown, Dick Brown, David Brown, Don Richardson and Richard Richardson, will serve as pallbearers.

Services for Mrs. Richardson will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 19, 2008, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Elton Musick officiating. Interment will follow in the Huntington Cemetery.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
