The Burke Center hosted two public forums on local planning and network development today. The forums allowed stakeholders to offer input and ask questions about better to serve the community.
Local authorities, hospital representatives, Burke Center administrators and other officials were present. The Burke Center helps make sure local mental health services fit the needs of the community.
Susan Rushing, CEO of the Burke Center says, "One of things the legislature would like for us to day is look at expanding our network of services. While we don't have any more money to provide services, there may be ways we can direct the services so that they can be done more economically, and meet the needs of the people we serve better."
