Nacogdoches Police Report - 5/21/08

CREDIT CARD ABUSE: 200 BLOCK OF EAST MAIN. Complainant reported an unauthorized purchase through the internet on a credit card.

HIT AND RUN: 200 BLOCK OF RUSSELL BLVD. Complainant reported that an elderly female in a white Lincoln struck complainant's vehicle and left the scene.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 2200 BLOCK OF SE STALLINGS. Complainant reported that an unknown suspect scratched his vehicle with a key.

THEFT: 2800 BLOCK OF PEARL STREET. Complainant reported four tires and rims stolen from his parked vehicle.

THEFT: 1200 BLOCK OF FERGUSON STREET. Complainant reported that unknown suspects stole 30 Hydrocodone tablets from a locked area.

THEFT: 3400 BLOCK OF CENTER HIGHWAY. Complainant reported the theft of gasoline from a store.

THEFT: 1600 BLOCK OF CARDINAL. Complainant reported the theft of an AT&T cell phone.

TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE-EVADING ARREST: Officer stopped a suspect for traffic violations. Officer noticed the suspect attempting to chew and swallow something. The suspect fled into the woods and was captured after a foot chase. The suspect was taken to the hospital for possible narcotics ingestion and was being treated at the time of this report.

ASSAULT: 900 BLOCK OF SUMMIT. Two individuals were involved in pushing each other. One of the suspects was gone on arrival. No arrests.

RECOVERED PROPERTY: 300 BLOCK OF  SOUTH CHURCH. A pink and silver bicycle was recovered abandoned.

THEFT: 4810 NORTH STREET (WAL MART). Wal-Mart loss prevention observed two juvenile females taking items without paying for them. Both were released to their parents.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: OAKHILL PLAZA. Officers stopped the suspect inside Oakhill plaza. He was found to be in possession of suspected crack cocaine. Melvin Steadham was arrested.

RECOVERED NARCOTICS: 2900 BLOCK OF WODEN ROAD. A cell phone along with marijuana seeds and stems was located by a landlord in a rent house.
