Graveside services for Dianne Rhodes, 53, of Lufkin will be held Saturday, May 24, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. in the Zavalla Cemetery with Brother R.G. "Bud" Davis and Brother Jackson Colwell officiating.
Ms. Rhodes was born November 21, 1954 in Lufkin, Texas to Mary Beth (Parker) and Willie Earl Rhodes, and died Tuesday, May 20, 2008 in a local nursing home. She had resided in Lufkin for three years and was a member of the Zavalla United Pentecostal Church.
Survivors include her brothers and sisters-in-law, Tommy and Dale Stringer of Vidor and Ronnie and Janice Stringer of Nederland; brother, Earl Rhodes and Glentis Marshall of Nederland; and grandchildren, Colby Havard and Candy Havard, both of Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James Earl Lakey; and daughter, Amanda Havard.
Pallbearers will be Danny Womack, Ray Davis, Curtis Aldredge, Bradley Wright, Dale Carson and Max Walton.
Honorary pallbearer will be Jimmy Stegall.
The family extends special thanks to the staff of Southland Health Care for all their kindness, and also friends Wanda Creamer and Jody Carrington.
