Graveside services for Joyce E. Rogers, 69, of Lufkin, will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, May 25, 2008, in the Freeman Cemetery, with Ray Pinner officiating.
Mrs. Rogers was born November 3, 1938, in Lufkin, Texas, and passed away Thursday, May 22, 2008, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker, and a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and loved being around her family. She had also been a distributor for the Houston Chronicle.
Survivors include her husband, James Ray Rogers of Lufkin; son, Charles Rushing of Beaumont; daughters, Kathy Fredregill, Pat Neal, Dorothy Fredregill, all of Lufkin; son, Joe Fredregill of Lufkin; daughters, Jean Wright, Linda Beck and Sharon R. Mettlen, all of Lufkin; sisters, Linda Harris of Ohio and Ruth Tubbs of Lufkin; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other family members.
Mrs. Rogers was preceded in death by her parents, Katie (Crager) and Buster Flowers; brother, J. R. Hutson; and nephew, Tony Hutson.
