Charlie A. Boast
Graveside services for Charlie A. Boast, 82, of Huntington, will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 26, 2008, in the Cochran Cemetery with Reverend Joe Sawyer officiating.
Mr. Boast was born June 21, 1925, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Louida (Cash) and John Boast. He died Friday, May 23, 2008, at his residence.
Mr. Boast had resided in the Huntington area for the past 14 years, and was a former longtime resident of Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was a self-employed bricklayer. Mr. Boast loved to hunt and fish. He was a member of Ora First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Boast of Huntington; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Johnny Irvin of Huntington, and Evelyn and Gene Davis of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; stepdaughter and son-in-law, Donna and Frank Shepherd of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Palmer and Jean Boast, and Edgar and Earline Boast, all of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Geraldine Sullivant Boast; daughter, Charlotte Boast; sisters, Ophelia Spray, Inez Socia and Estell Bridges; and brother, James Boast.
