Generators for Power

by Tina Alexander

Some back up power is coming to four rural water supply systems, thanks to the Angelina County Commissioners Court.  Commissioners Tuesday morning awarded the bid for the project.

Central Water Control and Improvement District is one of four systems to get new generators. The generators are being installed as a precautionary measure in case a storm knocks out power to the water systems.  County Judge Wes Suiter says with hurricane season almost here this move is for insurance.  He says he hopes the water systems won't have to use the generators, but they'll be there in case they are needed.

Besides Central, water systems in Beulah, Woodlawn and Prairie Grove will receive the back-up generators.
