Betty Ann Hall, 78, of Lufkin, was born July 16, 1929, in Evansville, Minnesota, the daughter of the late Florence (Braunschweig) and George D. O'Brien. She passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008, in a local hospital.
Mrs. Hall was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was retired from the Lufkin Independent School District following more than 30 years of employment. She enjoyed researching genealogy. Mrs. Hall was a member of First Lutheran Church for 60 years, where she was active in many aspects of the Church, particularly evangelism and LWML.
Survivors include her son, David Wayne Hall of Austin; daughters, Laura Beth Waesche of Elgin, Illinois and Janis Ruth Stremel of Farmers Branch; 7 grandchildren; sister, Pat Miller of Washington; brother, George T. O'Brien of Arizona; and a number of other family members.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Stremel, Ryan Stremel, Dustin Hall, David Hall, Steve Stremel and Eddie Moreland.
Services for Mrs. Hall will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008, in the First Lutheran Church, with Reverend Michael Monterastelli and Reverend Frank Starr officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
