Lufkin Police Report - 5/30/08

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 200 BLOCK OF S TIMBERLAND. Complainant reported that an unknown person removed one of her car hubcaps and left it on the ground and scratched the trunk and back of her car with a scratch object Thursday night.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 400 BLOCK OF LYNN. Complainant reported that a known female suspect kicked a dent in his car door Thursday night.  He later found her and a friend at a store and when he confronted the suspect, the friend tried to run over the complainant with her car.  Complainant was not injured.

THEFT: 1400 BLOCK OF SLACK. Complainant reported that he went out of town and let a friend stay at his house.  The complainant returned home and found the friend, some tools,  a cell phone and a car part missing.  The complainant learned that the suspect had returned the car part for a cash refund.

THEFT/B: 300 BLOCK OF HOUSE. Complainant reported that she hired a known suspect to put tile in her home and the suspect took payment for the materials and then left with those materials and didn't finish the job.

HARBORING A RUNAWAY: 700 BLOCK OF HUMASON. Complainant reported that a known 18 year old male suspect helped her two minor daughters skip school and spent the day with them.

FRAUD: 2900 BLOCK OF S JOHN REDDITT. Complainant reported several checks were forged on her bank account in 2000.

BURGLARY/HABITATION: 1600 BLOCK OF LILAC. Complainant reported that his checkbook, containing a debit card and his identification card, was stolen from his home.

BURGLARY: 10 BLOCK OF WALDEN CT. Complainant reported that a radar detector was stolen from his vehicle Wednesday night.

BURGLARY: 100 BLOCK OF TEMPLE. Complainant reported that her purse was stolen from her vehicle Wednesday night.

HARASSMENT: 3000 BLOCK OF KENT ST. Complainant reported that a known suspect was making harassing phone calls to her and sending harassing text messages.

BURGLARY: 100 TEMPLE. Complainant reported that her vehicle was broken into Wednesday night and approximately $2 in change was stolen.

THEFT: 900 BLOCK OF W FRANK AV. Complainant reported that her purse was stolen from her unlocked car Thursday afternoon.  The purse was found dumped in the parking lot with $70 cash missing.

BURGLARY/VEHICLE: 2800 BLOCK OF DANIEL MCCALL. Complainant reported that her car was entered Wednesday night but nothing was noted missing.  The glove box had been left open and the back folded down to permit access to the trunk.
