The Chinese community in Nacogdoches has been raising money and awareness of the may 12th earthquake in China. Today they held a memorial benefit in Eugenia Sterne Park. Members of the Chinese student group at SFA and several community members talked about the devastation in the Schezuan province and what East Texans can do to get involved. Even in Nacogdoches there are people with family and friends in the city where the quake was. Thousands of children are now orphans and this group is trying to help.
