Bryan Keith Cartwright, 42, of Wells, was born November 6, 1965, in Angelina County, Texas, and he passed away Wednesday, June 4, 2006, at his residence.
Bryan was a manager for Wal-Mart and was employed there for 15 years. He enjoyed baseball and hunting with his son, and was devoted to his family. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Wells.
Survivors include his wife, Lisa Cartwright of Wells, son, Jason Cody Cartwright of Wells; father and mother, Floyd and Ellen Cartwright of Wells; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Jerri Cartwright of Wells; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Carolyn Fitts of San Augustine; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Hoss Thornton of San Augustine and Cathy and Jimmy Cathey of Pollok; nieces, Leah Cartwright of Houston, Veronica Cartwright of San Diego, California and Heather Cathey of Pollok; and a number of other family members.
Bryan was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristen Jewel Cartwright; sister, Debra Cartwright; and nephews, Jeremy Wallace and Michael White.
Pallbearers will be Steven Monday, Randy Harris, Tim Sprinkle, Ronnie Modisette, Fred Hampton, Jerry Peek and Greg Heflin.
Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the Nacogdoches Wal-Mart and his special friends, the Texas Tide Baseball Team.
Services for Bryan will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 7, 2008, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Trampus Black, Reverend Horace Fletcher and Reverend Grant Hanes officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Wells.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
