Saturday night is the final night of the 40th annual Alabama Coushatta Pow Wow near Livingston.
What could be more colorful than seeing a Native American dancer in full regalia as he comes into the dance arena during processional? Men, women and children dressed in their best dance regalia will present themselves to the audience before competition.
The schedule for Saturday is 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. for Gourd Dancing and Grand Entry at 7 p.m. Competition for this evening includes all the adult categories such as the Men's Fancy Dance which is the highlight of the evening.
Food as well as arts and crafts will be available for sale on the powwow grounds. Admission fee is only $5.00 per person with children 3 years and under admitted free. Visitors are advised to bring their lawn chairs as seating is limited.
