Funeral services for Cleo R. Kendrick, 94, of Lufkin will be held Thursday, June 12, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Carroway-Claybar Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jimmy Hedges and Reverend Charles M. Roberts officiating. Interment will follow in the Whitehouse Cemetery.

Mrs. Kendrick was born August 26, 1913 in Centralia, Texas to the late Myrtle (Womack) and Miller Hathorn, and died Monday, June 9, 2008 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Kendrick had resided in Lufkin most of her life. She was a homemaker, and loved to sew and quilt. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, and taught Sunday school there for many years.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Lucia and Jerry Mosley of Lufkin; sons and daughters-in-law, Joe and Suzann Kendrick of Tyler, Reverend Gene and Mavonee Kendrick of Conroe, Mike Kendrick of Branson, Missouri, Gerald and Beverly Kendrick of Lufkin and Larry and Mary Beth Kendrick of Pollok; grandchildren and spouses, Doug and Janet Kendrick of Sachse, Jason and Donna Kendrick of Van, Paul and Kathy Kendrick of Nacogdoches, Kevin and Debbie Kendrick, Leighann and Bryan Hedges, all of Conroe, Abby and Rory Swan of Lufkin, Amy Kendrick of Montgomery, Trent and Ashley Kendrick of Mineral Wells, Dave and Becki Kendrick of Fort Worth, Jill and Jonathan Gerland of Lufkin, Brandon and Allison Mosley of Port Lavaca, Hannah Mosley of Lufkin and Brenda and Ed Epps of Waco; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great- grandchildren; sister, Juanita Anderson of New Waverly; sister-in-law, Virginia Hathorn of Lufkin; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Kendrick; and brother, Womack Hathorn.

Pallbearers will be Mrs. Kendrick's grandsons.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice in the Pines, 116 South Raguet Street, Lufkin, Texas 75904 or the Empty Arms Ministries of Denman Avenue Baptist Church, 1807 East Denman Avenue, Lufkin, Texas 75901.

The family will welcome friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
