Don H. Engelby
Services for Don H. Engelby, 67, of Conroe, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 13, 2008, at Redtown Baptist Church in Lufkin, with Reverend Ross Black officiating. Graveside services will follow in the Sand Flat Cemetery under the auspices of the Conroe Masonic Lodge No. 748, A.F. & A.M.
Mr. Engelby was born June 9, 1941, in Blue Earth, Minnesota, and he passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2008, in a Conroe hospital.
He was retired from LCTX, following 20 years of employment. He was a member of the Conroe Masonic Lodge No. 748, A.F. & A.M., the Scottish Rites Free Masons SF U.S.A. of Houston, the Arabian Temple of Houston and The Melrose Commander of #109 KT of Houston. He was of the Methodist Faith.
Survivors include his wife, Mollie Jo Engelby of Conroe; son and daughter-in-law, Don H. Jr. and Mary Jo Engelby of Lufkin; daughter, Laurie Lachelle of Fort Worth; grandchildren, Joshua, Seth and Caleb; brother, Richard Engelby of Minnesota; stepmother, Betty Engelby and her family of Minnesota; uncle, Gerald Engelby and his family of Minnesota; special family, Elmer and Margaret Lehman of Minnesota; a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives; and a host of friends.
Mr. Engelby was preceded in death by his parents; Irene (Gruise) and Henry Engelby; stepfather, Bill Guckeen; sister, Beverly Knutson; and nephew, Donald Bajula.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sand Flat Cemetery Association, c/o Ruby Hanks, 4408 State Highway 7 West, Pollok, Texas 75969.
The family will receive friends from noon until service time Friday at the church.
