Nacogdoches Police Report - 6/23/08

FAILURE TO IDENTIFY: 800 BLOCK OF OLD TYLER ROAD. Suspect was passed out in a vehicle and gave officers several false names before he was identified. Draden Copeland was arrested.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 1600 BLOCK OF CARDINAL. Complainant reported that a speaker system had been removed from his parked vehicle.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 1300 BLOCK OF PRUITT HILL. Complainant reported a stereo system removed from the dash.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 200 BLOCK OF EAST LAKEWOOD. A known suspect broke the car windows out of a vehicle during a disturbance.

ASSAULT: 3500 BLOCK OF SOUTH STREET. Complainant reported that he was assaulted by several unknown suspects in a parking lot.

ASSAULT: 3100 BLOCK OF EJ CAMPBELL. Complainant reported that a known suspect assaulted her physically. Warrant requested.

ANIMAL CRUELTY: 900 BLOCK OF WELLS STREET. Officers found a dead puppy in a cage that had apparently died from heat. Animal Services was notified and began an investigation.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: 900 BLOCK OF WEST MAIN. A known suspect pointed a firearm at the complainant during a disturbance. A warrant has been requested.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 200 BLOCK OF BOWIE. Two vehicles were forcibly entered and damaged when suspects unknown attempted to remove items from the dash.

***Members of the Nacogdoches police and fire departments and the Texas parks and wildlife department continue the search and recovery effort on Lake Nacogdoches. No recovery has been made as of this time.
