The state is currently working with the Lufkin DaVita dialysis clinic to correct problems identified by the state. The department of state health services told the Lufkin clinic they had to bring in a physician monitor and 2 nurse monitors. They also had to post a notice letting patients know that during an investigation there were many deficiencies. State health monitors are working in the clinic to help DaVita with these requirements and to make sure they make corrections before their doors are reopened. At this time it is unclear when they will start seeing patients again.
