Storms hit Lufkin hard and fast earlier today leaving damage throughout the city.   A tree fell onto a home at Mantooth and Raguet after high winds and heavy rains ripped through. Lights at intersections in downtown were left without power this morning along with the 911 dispatch. They worked on a back up generator for several hours. 1500 Oncor customers were without power throughout the day. Limbs, trash and other debris was left throughout the city on streets and in yards. No major accidents or injuries were reported from the storms. The storm produced up to 60 mile an hour winds.
