Georgia Collins Zeleskey
Georgia Collins Zeleskey, 84, of Lufkin, was born May 6, 1924, the daughter of the late James Joshua and Ida (Mixon) Collins. She resided in the Lufkin area all of her life. She went to be with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at her home. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Ralph Maynard Zeleskey, Sr.
Georgia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was totally devoted to her family. She was the greatest mother you could ask for, seeing to her children's every need. She was a faithful friend and was blessed with many special friendships. She enjoyed dancing, traveling with her husband and close friends, and most spending time with her beloved family. Georgia was a member of First Christian Church.
She is survived by one daughter and five sons, James Joshua Zeleskey and wife Terri, Ralph Maynard Zeleskey, Jr. and wife Pam. Louis Collins Zeleskey and wife Kelley, L'Ida Lee Zeleskey, Jay Clark Zeleskey and wife Tracy, and Curtis Brite Zeleskey and wife Kathy.
She is survived by 10 grandchildren, Brandi DeAnn Conn and husband Ryan, James Joshua Zeleskey, Jr. and wife Misty, Jenny Lee Zeleskey, Heather Nicole Johnson and husband Randall, Amber Lyn Zeleskey, Brittany Lee Zeleskey, Annie Collins Zeleskey, Mary Kelley Zeleskey, Georgia Carol Zeleskey, Britelyn Rose Zeleskey; and four great-grandchildren, Halli Blair Ferguson, Makenzi Taylor Zeleskey, Ethan Lane Fasano, and Kyndal Taylor Conn.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904; or to a charity of your choice.
A memorial service for Georgia will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2008, at First Christian Church, with Reverend Mike Hunter officiating.
