Search Ends on Lake Nacogdoches

The search has ended on Lake Nacogdoches for a man who went missing Saturday.

Officials found the body of Scott Dilks at 5:00 Tuesday afternoon near the middle of the lake.

Dilks was swimming with his nine-year-old son and a group of friends on Saturday when his son started drifting away.

Game wardens say Dilks overestimated his ability to swim 3/4 of a mile and went under as soon as he reached his son.

Dilks was pronounced dead at the scene and taken to Laird Funeral Home.
