Nacogdoches Police Report - 6/26/08

EVADING ARREST-CREDIT CARD ABUSE: 100 BLOCK OF NORTH SANDERS. Officers responded to a suspicious person call on Cooper Street. Upon arrival of officers, the suspect fled on foot, and was captured on Sanders Street. The suspect had in his possession a credit card taken in a previous burglary of a vehicle. Draden Heath Copeland was arrested.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA-POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 3700 BLOCK OF OLD TYLER ROAD. Officers contacted a female in a vehicle at the softball complex. Officers could smell the odor of an alcoholic beverage in the vehicle and suspected the female of being intoxicated. Officers also located a quantity of suspected marijuana along with approximately 3 grams of suspected methamphetamine and approximately one half gram of suspected exstacy in the vehicle. Tammy Guernsey Allen was arrested.

THEFT-CRIMINAL TRESPASS: 4810 NORTH STREET (WAL MART). Two suspects were observed by store security taking items without paying for them. Both were detained and charged with theft. Tina Marie Rhoudes was arrested for theft and Mary Ann Howard was arrested for theft and criminal trespass, having been previously banned from the property.

DWI: 200 BLOCK OF NORTH SANDERS. Officers responded to a call of a reckless driver. The vehicle was stopped and the driver was suspected of being intoxicated. Warren J. Washington was arrested.

TERRORISTIC THREAT: 100 BLOCK OF RITCHIE STREET. Complainant reported that during an argument on Monday, a known suspect threatened to cut the complainant with a knife. Warrant requested.

BURGLARY OF A VEHICLE: 200 BLOCK OF OLD TYLER ROAD. A purse and a laptop computer were stolen from a vehicle that was parked.

FORGERY: 2013 NORTH STREET (SUNSHINE). A suspect was captured attempting to cash a forged check at the cash window. Jim Akridge was arrested.
