Lufkin Police Report - 7/02/08

THEFT/C: 1900 Block SUNRISE. Complainant reported that some grocery items were missing from her home after her adult son stopped by while she was out Tuesday afternoon.    

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 4600 Block MEDFORD. Complainant reported seeing an adult male peeping under doors at a store fitting room Tuesday.  The suspect was detained by security and given a trespass warning for the mall.  Disorderly Conduct charges are pending.

BURGLARY/VEHICLE: 400 Block ANGELINA ST. Complainant reported that assorted tools were stolen from the toolbox of a pickup Monday night.

BURGLARY: 2800 Block PAUL ST. Complainant reported that the door to a vacant residence was kicked in and someone apparently slept in the vacant house Monday night, but nothing was stolen.

THEFT/FELONY: 500 Block HILL ST. Complainant reported that a laptop computer and two cameras were stolen from a business sometime last week.

FRAUD: 1200 Block E LUFKIN AV. Complainant reported that  known suspect picked up the complainant's prescription medication at a pharmacy without permission by claiming to be the complainant.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1400 Block E DENMAN. Officers found that a vacant house had been broken into and heavily damaged by vandals.  Officers found that the wood floor had been burned and the water turned on and left running which flooded the entire house.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  100 Block SOUTHERN TRACE. Complainant reported that an unknown person had run over her brick mailbox with a car sometime Monday night.

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITI:  400 Block N TIMBERLAND. Complainant reported several checks had been stolen and forged.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 400 Block DOGWOOD. Complainant reported that someone sprayed an unknown substance on her car early Tuesday morning and the substance that damaged the paint.
