Nora Tavie "Million" Marshall

Nova Tavie "Million" Marshall, 88, of Freeport/Brazos Port area, was born July 17, 1919, in Manning, Texas, the daughter of the late Sophie Elizabeth (Thompson) and Jim Bob Million. She passed away Friday, June 27, 2008, in Silsbee.

Mrs. Marshall was a loving (and fun) wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and working with crafts. She loved entertaining her friends with tea, coffee, pies and cakes. Mrs. Marshall was a member of Velasco Methodist Church in Freeport, and was very passionate about her church. She held many offices there, as well as being a Sunday School teacher.

Survivors include her daughter, Sylvia Rolf of Kountze; granddaughter, Carmen Rolf of Kountze; granddaughter and her husband, Marlana and Jesse Whitley of Lake Jackson; grandson and his wife, Mark and Cindy Rolf of Kountze; great-grandchildren, Andrew, Austin and Ashby Rolf, Ashley, Joshua and Hanna McGough; and a number of other family members.

Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her husband, K. F. "Pete" Marshall; son, Jimmy Marshall; and sister, Delma Loving.

Pallbearers will be Mark Rolf, Michael Marshall, Andrew Rolf, Joshua McGough, Austin Rolf and Robert Marshall.

Honorary pallbearers will be K. S. Marshall, B. D. Marshall, Waiford English and Jesse Whitley.

Graveside services for Mrs. Marshall will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008, at Fielder Cemetery, with Reverend Emery Quarles officiating.
