Memorial services for Robert T. "Bob" Crofton, 82, of Lufkin, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at 1602 Diana Street, with Earl "Marc" Sheldon officiating.

Mr. Crofton was born October 5, 1925, in Shreveport, Louisiana, the son of the late Catherine (Hanlon) and Robert T. Crofton, Sr. He passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2008, in a local hospital.

Mr. Crofton worked as an "auto body man" and mechanic, and served in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked at Forrester Bros. Body Shop in Flushing, NY for 10 years. He enjoyed New York..."and would have never left if I could have kept working." Mr. Crofton was also a congregational Methodist preacher in Louisiana for 11 years.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Christopher Sugano of Westminster, California; grandchildren, Rylie and Nathan Sugano of Westminister, California; stepdaughter, Mary Crofton of Batesville, Arkansas; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and THelma Crofton of Shreveport, Louisiana; and sister, Mary Katherine Cosby of Shreveport, Louisiana.
