Mary Beth Toney Flowers
Mary Beth Toney Flowers, 62, of Lufkin, was born August 31, 1945, in Lufkin, Texas, to Johnnie and Mary Phillips Toney. She was called home to be with her Lord on July 6, 2008.
Mrs. Flowers was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She had many talents. She enjoyed crocheting, tatting, sewing, cooking and traveling. She loved square dancing and teaching square dancing to the students at Central Elementary. She enjoyed attending all activities involving her grandchildren. Mrs. Flowers was the co-owner of Flowers Rentals. She was an active member of Keltys United Methodist Church and the Lufkin Pine Squares.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Lonnie W. Flowers of Lufkin; son and daughter-in-law, David W. and Sandy Flowers of Pollok; son, John Flowers of Diboll; daughter, Angie Flowers of Lufkin; grandchildren, Taylor Flowers, Rachael Flowers, John Karson Flowers and Presli Flowers; sister, Jo Love of Lufkin; special aunt, Doris Roddy of Vidor; special friends, Tom and Betty Wetterman of Caldwell; and numerous other family members and close friends.
Pallbearers will be James Flowers, Larry Flowers, Lloyd Flowers, Ray Hall, Bob Mooney and Tom Wetterman.
Expressions of sympathy in Mrs. Flowers' memory may be made to Keltys United Methodist Church, 508 McMullen, Lufkin, Texas 75901; or to Hospice in the Pines, 116 S. Raguet, Lufkin, Texas 75904.
Services for Mrs. Flowers will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008, in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Jacqueline Harmon-Snarr officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park.
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at Gipson Funeral Home.
