Nacogdoches Police Report - 7/09/08

THEFT: 3220 NORTH STREET. Officers responded to Arby's on South Street in reference to a short change scam. A vehicle description was given and it was stopped in the 3200 block of North Street. Jerome Cheeves was arrested.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 4500 BLOCK OF NORTH UNIVERSITY DRIVE. Officers responded to a noise complaint and observed the suspect throw down a baggie of tablets. The bag contained suspected Hydrocodone.

DWI (WITH CHILD PASSENGER): 500 BLOCK OF EAST MAIN. Suspect was stopped on a traffic violation and suspected of being intoxicated. In the vehicle was an 11 year old passenger. Tina Slomba was arrested.

THEFT: 1800 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Complainant reported that a known suspect had stolen a Zune MP3 player.

ASSAULT: NORTHWEST STALLINGS DRIVE. Complainant reported being in an argument with a female passenger while driving on the NW loop. The female struck the victim several times with a cell phone. No charges were pressed by complainant.

CREDIT CARD ABUSE: 600 BLOCK OF EGRET. Complainant reported that his credit card was used without permission.

ASSAULT: 3100 BLOCK OF OLD TYLER ROAD. Complainant reported being slapped during an argument. No charges filed.

ASSAULT: 1200 BLOCK OF NW STALLINGS DRIVE. Complainant reported being hit in the face by a known suspect.

THEFT: 1000 BLOCK OF COX. Complainant reported three a/c units stolen from rental property.

ASSAULT: 2800 BLOCK OF PEARL. Complainant reported being grabbed by the throat by a known suspect. Warrant requested.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE: 3000 BLOCK OF LILLY STREET. Complainant reported the theft of an inoperable 1987 Mazda from his property.

ASSAULT: 2800 BLOCK OF OLD LUFKIN ROAD. Complainant reported being assaulted by a known suspect during an argument. No injuries; warrant requested.
