Lufkin Police Report - 7/14/08

DISTURBANCE/DOMESTIC: 100 Block MITCHELL ST. Complainant reported that he and a female companion were awakened by a known female suspect entering his home early Monday morning and assaulting the couple.  The complainant reported the suspect assaulted him with a stick and used a rock to break out the back window of his companion's car in the driveway.

BURGLARY/HABITATION: 400 Block MCDONALD. Complainant reported that his home was broken into Sunday evening and a television was moved but nothing was taken from the residence. 

THEFT/B: 400 Block N TIMBERLAND. A known suspect was seen shoplifting two briskets and some fruit from a grocery store Sunday evening.

SEX OFFENSES/OTHER: Complainant reported sexual contact between two young boys.   Pseudonyms were used and the ages of the boys are not available.     

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 100 Block MCMULLEN. Complainant reported that a 12 foot section of brick landscaping wall was knocked down at his home sometime Saturday night.

THEFT/B: 4500 Block S MEDFORD. Complainant reported that two men and two women shoplifted two pairs of shoes from a store Sunday afternoon.

ASSAULT: 1800 Block E DENMAN. Complainant reported that an unknown suspect riding in a green pickup threw something at him as he was walking along the roadway Sunday morning.  The complainant was hit in the head by the thrown object which caused a small cut to the man's head.

INCIDENT/INFORMATION: 200 Block FINLEY ST. Complainant reported that a registered sex offender has moved from the address where he is registered and failed to change his address with the police department as required by law.

Aggravated Robbery Arrest:  600 Block S TIMBERLAND. A man reported to police that he was robbed at 3:50am this morning at a gas station.  The man reported that as he finished pumping gas two men approached him, one of them armed with a shotgun.  The men demanded his money and he gave it to them and they fled on foot behind the store.  Responding officers located the men inside a vacant house in the 700 block of Homer. Jermaine Johnson, 17, and a juvenile were arrested for Aggravated Robbery. Another juvenile in the house was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance. Two firearms and the stolen money were recovered from inside the house.
