Indian Tribe Gets A New Partner

by Christa Lollis

The I's have been dotted and the T's crossed, the Alabama Coushatta tribe signed an agreement with the U.S. Forest Service today.

The reservation is surrounded by forests and so the two groups have worked hand in hand for years. Today that relationship was solidified when they signed a formal agreement.

Firefighters at the reservation have been working with the forest service for years and some have even made careers out of it. The tribe says the working relationship helps everyone involved.
