Man Involved In Fatal Lufkin Accident Also Involved In Diboll Accident

A Houston man involved in a fatal accident Wednesday in Lufkin was also involved in an eight vehicle accident in Diboll just hours later.

Issac Milstid of Houston was driving a pickup towing a trailer on Highway 59 south in Lufkin when police say he stopped in the center lane to turn left into a crossover.

Another car was passing the pickup in the left lane when Milstid turned left, clipping the back of the car.  The car driver overcorrected, causing the car to flip several times.

Two people were ejected from the car.  One of them, 75 year old Bertress Allen of Gladewater, died at a Lufkin hospital.

A few hours later, Milstid was involved in an eight car accident in Diboll that sent three people to the hospital, including Milstid.

Diboll police cited Milstid for failure to control speed and traveling at an unsafe speed.

Lufkin police say they will now turn over the evidence to the Angelina grand jury.
