Lufkin Police Report - 7/22/08

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE: 700 BLOCK OF NECHES. Complainant reported that her car was stolen from her driveway Monday night.  The car was later located on Sunrise Street and returned to the owner.

THEFT: 100 BLOCK OF N BRENTWOOD. Complainant reported that two women stole two pairs of children's shoes from a store Monday.

THEFT/C: 1200 BLOCK OF S CHESTNUT. Complainant reported that two men stole two 30-packs of beer from a store Monday afternoon.  The reporting officer recognized the suspects from surveillance video and warrants have been requested.

CREDIT CARD ABUSE: 4600 BLOCK OF S MEDFORD. Complainant reported that his credit card was lost or stolen earlier in the month and several unauthorized charges have since been made on his credit card.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 900 BLOCK OF CAIN. Complainant reported that a window to her home was broken out sometime Monday while she was away.

THEFT/B: 300 BLOCK OF KEYS ST. Complainant reported that some stole or released two pet birds in a cage that was hanging on his front porch Monday.

FRAUD: 3000 BLOCK OF JOHN REDDITT. Complainant reported that someone had used his wife's identifying information to pass two bogus checks in Lufkin in June.

THEFT: 100 BLOCK OF TIMBERLAND. Complainant reported that he paid his cable bill at a mail store that collects cable payments.  The clerk took the complainant's money and applied it to her cable bill.

THEFT/B: 100 BLOCK OF N JOHN REDDITT. Complainant reported that he left his cell phone at a business and a male subject was seen taking the phone Monday.

DISTURBANCE/DOMESTIC: 300 BLOCK OF E SHEPHERD. Complainant reported that her common-law husband hit her in the face and shoved her out of their car during an argument Monday.

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITING: 300 BLOCK OF E SHEPHERD AV. Complainant reported that a man presented a fake Texas driver's license to obtain water service.  The man fled when police were notified and the two women who were with him said they didn't know his name.

DEBIT CARD ABUSE: 600 BLOCK OF S FIRST. Complainant reported that an unauthorized charge was made on-line using her debit card information.

THEFT: 700 BLOCK OF MOORE ST. Complainant reported that residents of a house placed a jumper pipe in to receive water service after their meter had been removed for non-payment.
