Grapeland shooting suspect heads to court

GRAPELAND, TX (KTRE) - The suspect accused of shooting a woman in Grapeland is headed to court.

Eric Lamond Davis, 22, is set to appear before a grand jury next Monday, July 28th.

Davis was arrested earlier this month and charged with first degree murder for shooting Betty Cruze in the head.

Police say the shooting stemmed from a domestic dispute, but are still interviewing witnesses.

If convicted on first degree murder charges, Davis faces five to 99 years, or life in prison.
