Lufkin Police Report - 7/24/08

ASSAULT/A: 1800 BLOCK OF OLD MILL ST. Complainant reported that her boyfriend slapped her and shoved her during an argument Wednesday night.  The complainant had no visible injuries.

ASSAULT: 1800 BLOCK OF SAYERS. Complainant reported that her adult son threatened to pour hot grease on her during an argument.  The son left the scene prior to officers' arrival.

THEFT: 1200 BLOCK OF OLETA. Complainant reported that her wallet was stolen last week.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 500 BLOCK OF N TIMBERLAND. Complainant reported that his car door and window were damaged over the weekend by someone prying on the door.

BURGLARY/HABITATION: 1300 BLOCK OF MICKEY AV. Complainant reported that his home was broken into Monday and a video game was stolen.

HARASSMENT: 1100 BLOCK OF E DENMAN AV. Complainant reported an ongoing problem with silent phone calls from an out of town number.

FRAUD: 700 BLOCK OF EVERETT ST. Complainant reported that she checked with the IRS over her tax rebate check and was told she wouldn't get one because someone else reported her Social Security Number as belonging to a dependent on their tax return.  No suspects.

THEFT: 2500 DANIEL MCCALL. Complainant reported that a man in a gray car tried to drive by and snatch her purse from her shopping cart while she was unloading items into her car Wednesday.

BURGLARY OF MOTOR VEHICLE: 700 BLOCK OF MOORE. Complainant reported that the stereo was stolen from her unlocked car Wednesday morning.
