This viewer wrote in response to our piece on energy issues:
As far as the energy crisis, we have no one to blame but ourselves. The U.S. is in debt up to its neck to Saudi Arabia and China, we have no choice but to pay their ransom.
The American people and their complacency is what has allowed this energy crisis to occur. Environmentalist corrupt government . . . and foreign countries are not to blame. Because we allowed this to happen by not insisting that alternative energy sources be used that are safe for our world and our health. We have the technology and know how to do it.
A Lufkin viewer suggests we utilize these four strategies to combat our oil/gas price crisis.
1. Release 25% of the strategic oil reserve.
2. Divert Alaskan oilfield oil to the lower 48 states.
3. Buy oil from Mexico where they recently discovered a new oilfield...purported to be the largest ever.
4. Stop buying oil from OPEC. Please note, the price of gas in Arabia is 61 cents/gallon.
