Man appeals 15 year sentence, gets 8 years instead

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Zachary Wayne Goshen was convicted and sentenced to 15 years in May of 2007.

But Angelina County District Attorney Clyde Herrington says he appealed that decision and it was overturned by an appellate court earlier this year.

Last week, Goshen accepted a plea deal with an eight year recommended sentence.

He has also given up his right to another appeal.
