Lufkin Police Report - 7/30/08

THEFT:  1500 Block LOTUS LN.  Two known suspects were caught stealing scrap metal from a road construction site Tuesday evening.  Charges are pending.

BURGLARY:  700 Block GROVE.  Complainant reported that her home was broken into Tuesday night and some jewelry items, a small amount of cash and a satellite TV receiver were stolen.

    

THEFT:   400 Block GROVE.  Complainant reported that the stereo was stolen from her car and an ice chest was stolen from her residence Monday or Tuesday..

ASSAULT:  800 Block O QUINN.  Complainant reported that her ex-boyfriend shoved her head into a door facing causing a knot and bruising during an argument Tuesday night

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITING:  300 Block E LAUREL.  Complainant reported that a known suspect used the complainant's name and identifying information to purchase items on credit.

    

ASSAULT:  800 Block N TIMBERLAND.  Complainant reported that a known suspect kissed her and touched her inappropriately against her wishes Tuesday afternoon.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS:   1800 Block SMITH ST.  Complainant reported that a known suspect forced her way into her home Tuesday morning. 

   

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITING:  300 Block E LAUREL.  Complainant reported that his estranged wife had been using other people's names to purchase items on credit. 

        

THEFT:  100 Block CHAMPIONS.  Complainant reported that her phone was lost or stolen Monday and she learned that someone has made a large number of phone calls o the phone since that time.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF VEHICLE:  100 Block ENGLEWOOD DR.  Complainant reported that her car broke down late Monday night and when she returned for it Tuesday the car was gone.  The car is a maroon 1997 Chrysler Concorde.

HARASSMENT:  1000 Block MCGREGOR.  Complainant reported receiving numerous harassing phone calls from a known suspect.

ASSAULT:  2200 Block E DENMAN AV.  Complainant reported that he was punched in the chest by a known suspect during an argument Tuesday.  No injuries.

HARASSMENT:  1000 Block MANTOOTH AV.  Complainant reported receiving numerous harassing phone calls from a known suspect.

FRAUD:   1700 Block TULANE.  Complainant reported that money was withdrawn from his account without permission.  The complainant called back later and said the money had been returned and he declined to file charges.
