Henderson Kidney Center

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The Henderson Kidney Center has added another shift so that they can take more patients to help meet the needs of the community. They also got all new dialysis equipment to better serve their patients.

"The new machines are an upgrade from the old machines. They are more user friendly. They have a touch screen which is the most obvious difference. They let us monitor the treatment in real time rather than at the conclusion of the treatment," Patricia Jones, the nursing director explained.

They have also built a clinic in San Augustine and are waiting for the state to approve it to open. They hope that will help ease the burden of dialysis patients traveling across East Texas for treatment.
