Lufkin Police Report - 8/07/08

THEFT/B: 3300 Block S FIRST. Complainant reported that he left his cell phone on a table in a restaurant Wednesday afternoon and it was gone when he returned for it 10 minutes later.

BURGLARY/BUILDING: 1700 Block N MEDFORD DR. Officers responded to an active burglary alarm at a business around 2am Thursday and found that the business had been broken into.  Officers were not able to contact management to see if anything had been taken.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 2200 Block S FIRST. Complainant reported that two known suspects chased him in their car and one of them hit the side of his car and threw something at it that caused two dents in the fender Wednesday night.  The two suspects were located and one of them admitted to hitting the car and throwing a screwdriver but said it was only after the complainant swerved at them intentionally. 

THEFT/B: 700 Block SOUTHWOOD DR. Complainant reported that his Craftsman brand lawn mower was stolen from his carport Tuesday or Wednesday.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 700 Block JONES. Complainant reported that a juvenile on a bicycle hit her mailbox several times Wednesday afternoon, denting the mailbox.

THEFT: 4100 Block MEDFORD. Complainant reported that a laptop computer had been stolen sometime within the past three weeks.

THEFT/C: 900 Block HOSEA DOLPHUS SR. Complainant reported that a female stole some cash and failed to pay her cab fare when she fled a taxi Wednesday afternoon.

ASSAULT/SEXUAL/RAPE: Complainant reported that a 14 year old girl is believed to have engaged in consensual sex with a male whose age is not known.

ASSAULT: 100 Block N FIRST. Complainant reported that an adult male twisted his 12 year old daughter's arm Tuesday night, causing the girl pain.

THEFT: 1800 Block W FRANK AV. Complainant reported that he lost his credit card Saturday and someone has made unauthorized charges on the card.

HARASSMENT: 100 Block SAWGRASS. Complainant reported that she received harassing text messages from a known suspect.

BURGLARY: 700 Block N RAGUET. Complainant reported that several pieces of identifying information were stolen from her unlocked car in late July, including her state issued ID card and birth certificates and Social Security cards of family members.

THEFT/B: 700 Block NECHES. Complainant reported that a red Murray lawn mower was stolen from his back yard sometime over the past two days.

THEFT: 200 Block FIRST. Complainant reported that a known suspect stole a digital recorder from his vehicle Tuesday night.
