Groundbreaking for Lufkin Biomass Plant Set for Next Month

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Aspen Power, the company that is planning on building a biomass power plant in Lufkin issued a press release Monday stating that  they plan on breaking ground on the new facility the second week of September.

The plant is slated to be built on 67 acres of land in the northern part of Lufkin.

Aspen Power also says they pant on employing around 160 people.
