LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - More people than ever were standing in line for Lufkin Panther Football season tickets. This year, the school opened up the entire home section for season tickets.
Some even arrived Sunday morning at 8:00am and spent the night at the LISD Transportation office so they could be the first in line.
Others came early Monday morning, because they figured they could still get seats. Fans say they just have to have their tickets.
Since the home side will be reserved seating, that will put the student section on the visitor's side of the stadium.
School Superintendent Roy Knight says they discussed potential problems with students being on the other side, but said with security in place, the school does not foresee any problems with the new seating arrangements.
