Lufkin Police Report - 8/12/08

DEBIT CARD ABUSE: 500 BLOCK OF S TIMBERLAND. Complainant reported that an unauthorized transaction was made using her stolen debit card last week.

HARASSMENT: 200 BLOCK OF PERCY SIMOND. Complainant reported receiving a threatening voice mail from a known female suspect.

THEFT: 700 BLOCK OF CONN. Complainant reported that the diesel fuel in his work was stolen over the weekend along with a five gallon can of gasoline in the back of the truck.

HARASSMENT: 900 BLOCK OF MARK. Complainant reported receiving numerous phone calls from a known suspect, even after she told the suspect to stop calling.

BURGLARY/VEHICLE: 300 BLOCK OF E SHEPHERD. Complainant reported that her purse was stolen from her car sometime Friday night.  She didn't know exactly where it happened but had been to several locations in Lufkin that night.

THEFT/B: 1800 BLOCK OF W FRANK. Complainant reported that money was stolen from a business Saturday night, possible internal theft.

ASSAULT/AGGRAVATED: 2000 BLOCK OF SPENCE ST. Complainant reported that her boyfriend was assaulted Saturday night at a nightclub.  Complainant reported that he was assaulted by one of two known suspects who hit him with some type hard object in the back of the head.  The victim sought treatment at a local hospital and had his girlfriend file the report on his behalf because he doesn't speak English.

BURGLARY: 500 BLOCK OF YORK. Complainant reported that a school classroom was broken into and a computer stolen Friday or Saturday.

RETALIATION: 100 BLOCK OF W SHEPHERD. Complainant reported that a known suspect threatened him for reporting the man as a suspect in a previous burglary case.

BURGLARY/BUILDING: 900 BLOCK OF E DENMAN AV. Complainant reported that several classrooms at the school were broken into over the weekend and two yearbooks were stolen.  The suspect(s) also damaged the ceiling and a ceiling mounted projector in one of the rooms during a failed attempt to steal the projector.

BURGLARY: 1500 BLOCK OF ATKINSON. Complainant reported that a speaker box, an amplifier and a tool bag full of tools were stolen from her car last week while it was at a garage for repairs.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 300 BLOCK OF N JOHN REDDITT DR. Complainant reported that a rock was thrown through the window of a business Sunday night.
