Junior League of Lufkin presents, Camp Get Fit & Kids in the Kitchen

53 kids attended the Junior League of Lufkin's Camp Get Fit and Kids in the Kitchen the week of July 28 thru August 1. This program was developed to teach youngsters about health, nutrition and fitness. The children learned the importance of choosing a healthy lifestyle by staying active and making healthier food choices. Activities include cooking, physical activity games, and fun, interactive education about health and nutrition.

A special thanks to our title sponsor Brookshire Brothers for providing all the nutritious food and the talented chef, Sarah Stevens. Stevens was able to teach the children cooking skills and recipes they will be able to make again for themselves at home. Also, thank you to The Children's Clinic and All American Athletics for providing the t-shirts.
