Lufkin Police Report - 8/20/08

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 300 Block SOUTH END BL. Complainant reported that a group of about 12 males all wearing red shirts were seen hitting her car with a metal pipe and kicking her car around midnight.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 900 Block CARVER ST. Complainant reported that his former girlfriend kicked the door of his car during an argument, leaving a muddy footprint on the car door.

ASSAULT/A: 900 Block CARVER. Complainant reported that her former boyfriend punched her in the face while she was cursing him out during an argument Tuesday night.  Complainant had a scratch to her left cheek.

THEFT: 700 Block GROESBECK. Complainant reported that his daughter stole the key to his vehicle and left the residence Monday night.

THEFT: 3300 Block EDWARDS. Complainant reported that a window unit air conditioner was stolen from a residence Monday or Tuesday.

BURGLARY/HABITATION: 300 Block HOMER ST. Complainant reported that her home was broken into Tuesday and a DVD player was stolen.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 2400 Block DAVISVILLE RD. Complainant reported that two letters on a sign were damaged last week when someone attempted to remove them.

THEFT: 2300 Block TULANE. Complainant reported that their blue city issued recycling container was stolen Friday night.

FORGERY/COUNTERFEIT: 100 Block FINLEY AV. Complainant reported that an unknown suspect obtained and forged one of his checks earlier in the month.

THEFT: 2400 Block E DENMAN. Complainant reported that a man stole two 30-packs of beer from a store Tuesday afternoon.

BURGLARY: 900 Block S JOHN REDDITT DR. Complainant reported that her cell phone was stolen from her unlocked car last week when she went to a convenience store.

BURGLARY/HABITATION: 1800 Block SAYERS ST. Complainant reported that her apartment was broken into Monday night and a television, a DVD player, some cash and miscellaneous items were stolen.

THEFT: 1700 Block W FRANK. Complainant reported that her purse was stolen from her locker at work Monday night.

BURGLARY: 700 Block LUBBOCK. Complainant reported that a duffle bag and some CD's were stolen during a burglary of a classroom that occurred Monday night.
