Lufkin Police Report - 8/27/08

BURGLARY/ATTEMPT:  300 BLOCK OF HOUSE ST.  Complainant was awakened by a noise around 3am Wednesday and saw two men trying to open his truck door using a clothes hanger.  The suspects fled and were not located.                 

BURGLARY:  2700 BLOCK OF South MEDFORD DR.   Officers responding to an active burglary alarm at 2:02am Wednesday found that a window had been broken out, the back door pried on and the electric meter had been taken from a business.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1500 BLOCK OF WILDBRIAR.  Complainant reported that two windows on his home were shot with a BB gun Monday.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  2100 BLOCK OF S FIRST ST.  Complainant reported that her pickup was scratched down one side with some type sharp object while she was at work Tuesday. 

THEFT:  400 BLOCK OF WARD ST.  Complainant reported that a known suspect took a washing machine from a store without paying for it.       

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITING:  3000 BLOCK OF S JOHN REDDITT.  Complainant reported that a known suspect stole some of his checks and forged several of them around town.

THEFT:  300 BLOCK OF MEDFORD.  Complainant reported that her son's cell phone was stolen from his locker at school Monday afternoon  

THEFT:  3200 BLOCK OF OLD UNION RD.  Complainant reported that a coil nail gun was stolen from a work site Monday afternoon.

BURGLARY/ATTEMPT:  1100 BLOCK OF BRADY.  Complainant reported that a window was broken on his house and the back door was pried partially open Monday.  Entry was not made into the house.                                                                                                                                                               

BURGLARY/VEHICLE:   800 BLOCK OF N MEDFORD DR.  Complainant reported that several vehicles were broken into at a car dealership Monday night and the stereo stolen out of each.
