Liquid Spill Shuts Down Highway 59

CORRIGAN, TX (KTRE) -- Highway 59 is reopened after a liquid spilled in Corrigan.

It happened .25 mile south of Corrigan, shutting down northbound and southbound lanes.

Early reports suggested the substance was phosphoric acid but as of 4:05 PM emergency crews tell KTRE that it is ink.

Traffic went down to one lane in each direction while hazmat crews, and Corrigan Police cleaned up the spill.
