DaVita gets clean bill of health from state

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - We have an update on the Lufkin DaVita Dialysis center.

DaVita Spokesperson Michael Chee says the state health department conducted a 45-day review, as anticipated.

The review was a follow up to their original plan of correction.

Chee says they received clean "bill of health" from the state and they will be allowed to continue operations at the current level of 36 patients.

State nursing monitors are still in place, but have not allowed an increase in patent totals in a couple of weeks.
