Two elementaries in Nacogdoches get summer renovations

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Nettie Marshall Elementary has been housing school kids for well over 50 years.

Teachers say this past year, the last day of school they moved out so construction workers could move in.

Tax roll-back dollars paid for the renovation which school officials say was much needed.

Students returned to their school this year to find their classrooms and hallways a better place to learn.

Fredonia elementary was also renovated this summer.

Kids started back this school year to find the improvements at their campus as well.
