Lufkin Police Report - 9/10/08

ASSAULT: 100 Block JODIE. Complainant reported that her neighbor slapped her during an argument Tuesday afternoon and tried to run over her with a car afterwards.  The neighbor reported that the complainant slapped her first and they fought and that she left in her car but didn't try to hit the complainant.  Neither woman had visible injuries from the reported assault but the neighbor reported that she was bitten by the complainant's dog during the disturbance.  Both subjects declined to file charges.

BURGLARY/VEHICLE: 300 Block S JOHN REDDITT. Complainant reported that his truck was broken into Monday night and a folding knife was stolen.  The dash of the truck was also damaged in an unsuccessful attempt to remove the stereo.

THEFT/FELONY: 300 Block MONTROSE. Complainant reported that an outside central air conditioning unit was stolen from a vacant residence sometime within the past five days.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF: 1000 Block RUSHWOOD. Complainant reported that his tan Honda car was stolen Tuesday.

CREDIT CARD ABUSE: 2300 Block TULANE DR. Complainant reported several unauthorized transactions had been made using her debit card information.

THEFT/FELONY: 100 Block COLONIAL HILL. Complainant reported that two outside central air conditioning units were stolen from a vacant house sometime during the past two weeks.

THEFT/B: 3500 Block FIRST. Complainant reported that her cell phone was stolen from her book bag last Wednesday.

FORGERY/COUNTERFEIT: 200 Block GOBBLERS KNOB. Complainant reported that a known suspect had deposited a forged check and kept cash from the deposit.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 400 Block HOLLAND. Complainant reported that his rental house was found to have several windows broken out and the interior had over a dozen holes knocked in the walls.  This occurred sometime within the past two weeks.     

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 1300 Block E DENMAN AV. Officers responding to an active burglary alarm at a residence Tuesday morning found the back door had been kicked in.  Nothing appeared to have been taken from the house.

BURGLARY/VEHICLE:  1400 Block CALIFORNIA. Complainant reported that someone broke out her car window Monday night and rummaged through her car but nothing was noted missing.

BURGLARY/BUILDING: 2100 Block LOWRY ST. Complainant reported that a laptop computer was stolen during a burglary that occurred sometime Monday night.

BURGLARY: 500 Block WILLOW OAK. Complainant reported that a speaker box was stolen from his pickup Monday night.

THEFT/FELONY: 600 Block MOORE ST. Complainant reported that several metal truck and trailer parts, along with various lengths of scrap pipe were stolen from a storage yard over the weekend.
