Lufkin Police Report - 9/11/08

ASSAULT:  700 BLOCK OF S TIMBERLAND.  Complainant reported that he was attacked by four men he didn't know while leaving a nightclub Wednesday night. The complainant sought treatment at a local hospital for unspecified injuries.

BURGLARY/VEHICLE:  700 BLOCK OF S TIMBERLANDComplainant reported that her car window was broken out and her purse stolen from her car Wednesday night.

THEFT:  800 BLOCK OF S TIMBERLANDA woman was seen shoplifting a polo shirt from a store Wednesday afternoon.

ASSAULT:  1200 BLOCK OF W FRANK STA known suspect seeking treatment at a local hospital spit on a Lufkin Police officer Wednesday night and told the officer she has hepatitis.  A warrant will be obtained for the suspect's arrest on the charge of Harassment of a Public Servant, a third degree felony and will be served after she is released from the hospital.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  2500 BLOCK OF DANIEL MCCALL.  Complainant reported that two children drove a motorized shopping cart into her car, scratching the paint Wednesday evening.  The children were gone when police arrived.

THEFT:  100 BLOCK OF W SHEPHERD.  Complainant reported that his prescription medication was stolen Wednesday. 

THEFT:  800 BLOCK OF HAYS WOOD.  Complainant reported that several power tools were stolen from his back porch Tuesday or Wednesday.

FRAUD:  2500 BLOCK OF DANIEL MCCALL.  Complainant reported that his wallet was stolen Wednesday, possibly by a pickpocket.  The victim reported that someone tried used his credit card to purchase two gift cards totaling $9000 at another store shortly after the theft.  They card was denied there.

CREDIT CARD ABUSE:  1000 BLOCK OF TIMBERLAND.  Complainant reported that a former employee made several unauthorized charges on a company credit card. 

BURGLARY/HABITATION:  200 BLOCK OF HUMMINGBIRD.  Complainant reported that his home was broken into Wednesday and a small stereo and a bicycle were stolen.  The stereo was found in the complainant's back yard.

FRAUD:   2500 BLOCK OF DANIEL MCCALL.  Complainant reported that someone has made several unauthorized purchases at three different stores in east Texas.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1700 BLOCK OF OLD GOBBLERS KNOB.  Complainant reported that a known female suspect burned his clothes Wednesday morning after getting angry with him.

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITING:  I400 BLOCK OF S FIRST ST.  A woman brought a bogus check to a bank to cash it, reportedly for a man she met on-line who was having trouble getting his payroll checks cashed.  The check was not cashed and the matter has been turned over to detectives.

THEFT:  600 BLOCK OF TIMBERLAND.  Complainant reported that an unknown male suspect stole an amplifier from a store Wednesday morning.

THEFT:  200 BLOCK OF LAVAN ST.  Complainant reported that her purse was stolen from the front porch a friend she stayed the night with Monday.  The complainant's car, parked in the friend's driveway, was also entered and rummaged through Monday might.   

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF:  1900 BLOCK SUNRISE.  Complainant reported that her adult son threw a bucket of stain on her porch and house during a disagreement Wednesday morning.
